Welcome to the Adventure West Council

Spanning Northern Colorado, Western Nebraska and most of Wyoming the Adventure West Council provides service for youth from age 5 to 21. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for both boys and girls, as well as young adults to build character, to develop character, integrity and leadership in today’s youth through quality programs, outdoor experiences, and service to community.

It is the vision of the Adventure West Council to Prepare today’s youth for future success..

Description

Through earning the Astronomy merit badge, Scouts will learn about safely observing objects in space, along with learning how to identify different constellations and visible planets. Scouts will also learn about career opportunities in Astronomy, along with documenting the movement of the planets, earth, and moon.
